KRISTI LOVE

The collection, Kristi Love, was started in 1997 by style ingénue and bon vivant namesake, Kristi Love.  Few in Washington, DC were surprised by this venture, as the name Kristi Love was always synonymous with trend-setting, cutting edge style.  Having worked for years as a wardrobe stylist for movies, music videos, print, tours as well as for celebrities and socialites, starting her own collection was a natural next step in her already illustrious fashion career.  To categorize the look of Kristi Love is almost impossible. Mainly, because the elements that inspire the designer are so varied.  Kristi Love’s biggest inspirations have always been the Park Avenue socialites of yesteryear, Studio 54 divas, old Hollywood glamour, and the over the top decadence of the 80s.  These elements combined with the influence of Kristi’s southwestern and Main Line roots, results in an exciting eclectic collection of grand yet very wearable separates.  There are a few Kristi Love signatures that have remained constants from the beginning of the collection+.  Known at one time as the “Queen of Bling”, the use of Swarovski crystals and other hand embellishment techniques, including hand-dyeing, is perhaps the most recognizable Kristi Love signature.  Unusual and luxurious fabric is another signature guaranteed in any Kristi Love collection. Last but not least, no one does denim like Kristi Love.  Kristi Love’s over the top denim creations became all the rage amongst NBA and NFL wives and stylist for celebrities.  Her one of kind denim creations are what undoubtedly put Kristi Love on the map in the early years and remain a staple in the collection. Today, the Kristi Love collection creatively has blossomed.  The culmination of years of  perfecting her craft, her vision and her talent for intuitively knowing what the fashion savvy customer wants, has resulted in a collection that is both show-stopping yet wearable.  Each piece is special, an exciting  “must have” in which  the customer feels transformed.

HUGH & CRYE

See the latest from Hugh & Crye on the last weekend of the Temporium:
August 12 to 15.

Hugh & Crye is a Washington, DC based retailer of readymade men’s dress shirts. Recognizing that most men have a hard time finding shirts that fit off the rack, they introduced a new sizing system which solves the most common problems with ill-fitting dress shirts – extra fabric in the midsection, sloppy sleeves, and sagging shoulders.

All of their shirts are instant classics – designed to play a foundational role in any look, be it dressed up or worn casually. With 100% Egyptian cotton and two-ply construction, their shirts are meant to last too.

Founders Pranav Vora and Ernest Chrappah are excited to participate in Temporium, and will introduce a collection exclusively for the event.
