Deidree Bennett is a self-taught artist, curator, and jewelry designer. She was recently the featured jewelry artist of OFF RAMP at Long View Gallery, Get Trunk at Napoleon, and juried into the Columbia Festival of the Arts for the second year in a row. Additionally, her pieces have been selected by three designers to complement their clothing lines on the runway at Fashion Fights Poverty.
Unique artisan jewelry designs utilizing sterling silver and gemstones are her specialty. Her recycled vinyl record and recycled sterling silver jewelry designs are currently available in the retail shop at Vis Arts in Rockville, MD. She is consistently inspired by the beauty found in natural forms. Custom orders, and attention to clients needs, are the foundation of her success. She has worked in nearly every medium, including but not limited to: photography, clay, sculpture, jewelry design and production, metalsmithing, murals, prop design, and oil painting. Her blog, www.dcartdiva.blogspot.com, details exciting, lesser known events in the DC Arts scene. Find her newest lines on Facebook by becoming a fan of “MiSHi Artisan Jewelry has FAB admirers!”.
“I am thrilled to be selected as a designer for the Temporium, as this brilliant concept is a perfect fit for DC! Everone wins when people buy unique items directly from the artists.” – D.B
